Equipment

  • Jar

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • cup cocoa

Instructions

  • Put sugar and cocoa in a jar. Use the ratio of 1 cup of sugar to ⅔ cup of cocoa to add as much as your jar can hold.
  • Shake.½

Notes

  • To make chocolate milk, first add 1/2 inch of hot water to your cup, add chocolate milk powder to the hot water, and stir thoroughly. Then add cold milk and stir. Otherwise, the powder won't dissolve in cold milk, because it lacks the additives included in store-bought brands.
  • This recipe is definitely less sweet than store-bought chocolate milk powders. I would suggest making a small batch to start and tasting it before scaling up to a large batch. If it's not sweet enough for you, change the ratio to 1 1/3 cup of sugar to 2/3 cup of cocoa.
